New Sewing Experience: Fox Making

Having worked with yarn and crochet hooks for the past few years, working with needle and thread is a whole new crafting experience! My first and currently only self designed sewn project is a brown fox, made with felt. I love foxes~ and I'm glad that this project came out looking okay. The pattern still needs some editing, but it's a good start~! :D This one was made for Kimberly, but I'm planning on making more with other colors, and with each one I'm hoping to improve my stitching skills!

Above: The side view of the fox. As you can see, the bottom area is a little deformed, but I hope to fix that in my next one.

Right: The front view of the fox. The nose is a little crooked... but that can be fixed too!

Any suggestions will be accepted :D

Kusudama in progress

I love kusudamas! Back home in San Diego, I used to collect college ad magazines just to make kusudamas with. When I went to Davis, I didn't bring any with me though, so I stopped making them for a while. But one day, I was cleaning my room and thinking about how bored I was, when BAM! something caught my eye: an old StaTravel booklet! My first thought was "KUSUDAMAS!" :D So, obviously, I started making kusudamas! Turns out the paper is the perfect texture and colors (it's from a travel book, after all!). Here's some pics of my first two completed flowers:

Aren't they pretty? :D If you'd like to make your own, here's a link to my absolute favorite kusudama site: http://foldingtrees.com/2008/11/kusudama-tutorial-part-1/ They just have the most gorgeous tutorials!

New PanzerCrafts!

Since it's been over a year now since PanzerCrafts the Club disbanded, I figured it was time to start anew! My little sister and I have been wanting to make a little business by the same name since forever, and since I did found this whole PanzerCrafts thing, I thought heck, why don't I just do what I've been meaning to do anyway: turn this blog back into the PanzerCrafts the Business blog! :D So, that's what I just did. Sorry my beloved Panzers of old... hahaha. We're still a business-to-be though, so nothing's really going on; I'm just trying to tidy up this place. A few years from now when I actually have the time and money, I'll open up an Etsy shop with my little sister, then this blog will be full-on running. For now though, it's still the same as it's always been: lazy and idle. XD and for fun.

All of the posts from the days of the club have been kept and labeled as "Old posts from the Club times...". I couldn't bear deleting them, and the blog was sitting here being useless, so I didn't want to create another one by the same name... lol. Sorry, PanzerCrafts clubbers. Goodbye club, hello business! hahaha
