First Meeting

For anyone who missed the meeting today, it was basically just an introduction.
To sum it up:
  • we're not just a crafts club; we do foodstuffs too! as in... we have FOOD PARTIES!! XD ya. we're just that cool.
  • Fan Yang is treasurer, Sherry Guo is secretary, Sunniva Martensson is vp, and I'm the prez (Kimberly Hom). If you have any questions, ask one of us or email us at panzercrafts@gmail.com
  • next week we'll be doing 3D origami and probably some sculpey work.
  • Homecoming ideas are welcome! so far, we're planning on selling sculpey viking earrings and crocheted stuffed animals, as well as some 3D origami cranes, swans, etc. myb even some owls ;D who knows. give us some suggestions...! :D
  • panzers have close-to-none funds. currently, we have 12.84$ in the little purinpurin panzercrafts piggy bank xP! These funds were earned by MY LITTLE SISTER'S hard work, and she doesnt even go to LJHS! 3.50 was from jess's sale (to me! lol! YAY JESS TY XD lol!). We actually had about 40$ more, but I bought a crafting oven o_o (its for sculpey projects). So ya. we're low on funds. if you want to do some more expensive crafts, we're gonna hafta ask for donations. you will, of course, be reimbursed if you buy supplies for us that was NOT part of a donation. plz tho, get approval for the items first, cuz we dont want ppl buying expensive products that we really cant afford... heh....
I think that's bout it. we didnt really have time to fully discuss. much to my surprise, new Panzers actually seem to be into this! (namely, robin m. xD) hehe thanks peeps :D

Um... one last thing! NEXT WEEKS MEETING IS ON MONDAY! plz be there so we can further our plans ;D

Thanks Panzers! hope to see you all next week :D

Club Day... Success?

Hi Panzers! Thanks to all of you who joined us today at the Club Day event! In total, we only got 21 new members, but who's to blame us? ASB set us up next to Irish Club, the most popular club in the whole high school. They get about 200 members each year! During the event, our table was taken over by Irish Club, and our sign was covered by Irish Club fans. The jerks!

Again, next meeting is on Thursday, September 30th. Let us know if you can't make it. If you have friends who would like to join but did not get the chance to, tell them to come! New members are always welcomed.

Thanks again!

TrulyOutrageous Creations!

Hi Panzer fans. It's been a while since I've actually made a real post. Anyhow, I've been working on some of "trulyoutrageous"'s creations, including her "Piggy" and "Kitty". Kindly enough, "trulyoutrageous" has let us, the Panzers, sell things made from her patterns during our club sales at LJHS, but not online. (If you do not go to LJHS and would like to purchase her handmade goods, please purchase them directly from her etsy or artfire shops: http://www.trulyoutrageous.etsy.com, http://www.artfire.com/users/TrulyOutrageous).

I'll have multiple sizes available at the club sales, as well as different sized eyes and some cats without flowers.

A big thanks to trulyoutrageous for supporting us by allowing us to sell things made from her patterns! :D ~huggles!~

Remember, click the photos to enlarge them to full size :]

Summer Projects

A few weeks before summer began, I learned how to knit. Two awesome seniors (at the time) taught me the basics, kindly loaning me yarn and needles until I could buy my own. And why is this important? Well, it means I can become a crafter!

I say become because I've only made two crafts as of yet. With little experience under my belt, I don't have any claim that honorable title. But I have ambitions. Soon a full fledged knitter will join the panzer ranks!!

Mistake Rib Scarf With Fringe

You can't tell from the photo, but the scarf is actually longer than I am tall, which is why it took me two months. I'm a good five feet six inches. But I've always liked long scarves... hmm, probably influenced by Final Fantasy games and Golden Sun.

I also made a yellow duck cloth. Hopefully you can make out the pattern despite the poor quality of the photos. See the front and then back. If you can't really tell, then it's no big deal. I... happened to make a lot of mistakes on it. (.___.")

So there you have it. :D
